Brossard Aquatic Complex

Construction of a new multipurpose centre housing a 50 m long competition pool with concrete diving platforms, and a recreational pool.

This two-storey building has a footprint of approximately 5,350 m². The main framework is made of steel, whereas concrete was used for the second-floor slab, as well as the ground floor and foundations, which are supported by driven piles.

The aquatic complex also includes a basement and an outdoor parking lot with 389 spaces, in addition to housing changing rooms, multipurpose rooms, a meeting room, mechanical rooms, stands and an office for judges. Because the aquifer level is very high at that location, and to avoid anchoring the building to the rock base, the facility was built on a 1.2 m high ground and is surrounded by sloped banks.
