Sleeper & Akhurst substation

Construction of a new 120 25 kV substation for the city of Coaticook.

With Hydro-Québec having reached its contractual capacity for supplying power at 25 kV, and given the steady growth in energy requirements for its residential, commercial and industrial clients, Hydro-Coaticook felt the need to build a new 120 25kV substation in order to be able to meet future increased loads on its grid. CIMA+ was mandated with the engineering responsibilities, work supervision, POV testing and commissioning for the construction of the new distribution substation supplied by a 120 kV Hydro-Québec double-circuit line. The installation includes two transformers and four 25 kV distribution feeders.
