- Job Description
CIMA+’s Earth & Environment team is a dynamic one with a proven reputation and a determination to be part of the change to a greener world. By joining our team, you will also be part of that change.
Reporting to the senior director and project manager, the technician will be required to carry out or supervise site activities related to assigned projects in terms of geo-environmental engineering.
Primary Responsibilities
- Carry out site supervision with respect to soil characterization, groundwater and surface water (Phase II), environmental site rehabilitation, and contaminated soils and water management
- Carry out field surveys and site visits
- Help in the preparation of sampling campaigns and construction sites (e.g., purchase orders, sampling materials, equipment calibration, etc.)
- Prepare chemical analysis requests, under the supervision of the project manager.
- Prepare data compilation tables and sampling reports
- Participate in the drafting and preparation of reports, under the supervision of the project manager.
- Plan and deliver assignments with sustainability in mind
- Profile
- DEC or BAC in geological engineering, environment, civil engineering or other discipline related to the environment
- Experience in environmental characterization, site monitoring and environmental rehabilitation
- Fluency in spoken and written French (Working language)
- Good knowledge of applicable technical frameworks (Characterization Guide, Intervention Guide, technical manuals, etc.)
- Having worked on sites monitoring contaminated soil and mastering the Traces-Québec platform;
- Knowledge of geotechnics (an asset); Knowledge of drawing software (Geotec, Civil 3D, AutoCAD) is (an asset)
- Be affiliated or eligible for membership in a professional order such as the OIQ or the OGQ (an asset)
- Have an ASP Construction card
