  • The CIMA+ offices in Western Canada are in the middle of a large growth trajectory. This means new, exciting complex projects that you will have the ability to shape and be a part of.     This role will focus on working within a team specializing in mid to large-scale projects and will represent, support and deliver to clients in various types and sizes. You will use several facets of engineering, construction and project management. 

    As a Buildings Engineering Project Manager variety is key as every day is different from the next. We are looking for a sociable person, a builder of interpersonal relationships, who has the ability to adapt to environments that can change direction quickly. 

    Key responsibilities 

    • Carrying out multidisciplinary coordination and follow-up with our clients in the delivery of large-scale projects 
    • Proactively contributing to the search for solutions aimed at maximizing the quality and performance of projects 
    • Identifying and monitor issues that may affect budgets and timelines within established milestones
    • Managing clients/consultants/contractors/suppliers and responding to technical inquiries 
    • Design management and construction management 
    • Manage the process of calls for tenders, awarding and negotiation of construction and professional services contracts; 
    • Assembling, managing and delivering construction contracts and professional scopes of work 
    • Managing overall project management activities, including Contract Administration, Scheduling Management, Procurement Management, Permitting Management, etc. 
    • As single point of contact on assigned projects, act as liaison to ensure open lines of communication.

     

  • Profile
    • Bachelor of Engineering
    • Registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC or have ability to obtain a designation with them
    • Skills in work organization, priority management and an interest in teamwork in an environment that can change direction quickly 
    • Having the ability to read and understand engineering plans and technical specifications
    • PMP designation is an asset
    • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
    • Fluent in oral and written English 

    The expected salary for this position is from $110,000 to $130,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
