    Our Bridges and Structures team is looking for a drafting technician to work on various large-scale projects in the Gatineau and Ottawa regions. You will have the opportunity to tackle challenging technical tasks, participate in training, and benefit from the support of our team, which is recognized across Canada for its achievements in bridge structures.

    We offer a flexible hybrid work model, allowing you to work both from home and at our offices in Gatineau or Ottawa.

    Responsibilities

    • Create digital drawings related to bridges, culverts, retaining walls and other transportation structures
    • Contribute to document preparation, meeting reports and other tasks associated with the design process
    • Draw solutions using specialized software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, CIVIL 3D, Open Bridge or SketchUp.
    • Coordination with transportation, municipal, traffic management and other disciplines in the planning, preliminary engineering, detailed design, construction phases
    • Perform take-offs and calculate quantities
    • Interpret design sketches, implement redline markups and assist in the collection and interpretation of construction record and/or as-built drawings

  • Qualifications

    • Diploma in Civil Engineering / Architectural Science from an accredited College
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Bridges or Structural CAD work 
    • Experience in AutoCAD and Revit
    • Knowledge of Civil 3D, or SketchUp
    • Team spirit, rigor and organizational skills
    • Interest to work in a bilingual environment
    • Oral and written fluency in French and English (an asset
