CIMA+ and Comtech Group join forces to provide project management services for the Confederation Building Rehabilitation

CIMA+ and Comtech Group Inc. (Comtech) working as a joint venture are pleased to announce the award of a contract by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and Science and Parliamentary Infrastructure Branch (SPIB) to provide specialized Real Property project management services in support of modernization projects within the Parliamentary Precinct. These include the rehabilitation of the Confederation Building, Energy Services Acquisitions Program (ESAP) and the Building Components and Connectivity (BCC) projects.

To support PSPC’s efforts within the Parliamentary Precinct, the CIMA+ / Comtech joint venture was created to leverage the experience and expertise in project management within both firms – including experience working with all levels of government (federal, provincial, and municipal), recent experience working with PSPC on Real Property projects in the NCR, and in Integrated Project Delivery environments. In addition to strong technical and engineering expertise, CIMA+ and Comtech provide a strong, local leadership supported by various centres of excellence within key disciplines.

“Comtech is thrilled to work alongside our partner CIMA+ to deliver this program and support the delivery of the Government of Canada’s Long-term Vision and Plan (LTVP),” said Chris Swail, Vice President, Buildings and Facilities at Comtech. “In doing so, our integrated project teams will apply their expertise and understanding of the environment to help rehabilitate and modernize the Parliamentary Precinct to meet present and future needs.”

“Together, CIMA+ and Comtech have over 60 years of experience and a bench of over 450 project management professionals to be leveraged from coast to coast,” said Yves Roland Mondou, Senior Vice president, Project Management, X Title at CIMA+. “CIMA+ and Comtech network of leaders are working on some of the most impactful infrastructure projects in Canada and are excited to bring best practices and lessons learned to this scope of work.”

This multi-year contract is anticipated to get underway in late 2022.
