Learn more about her path, what inspires her work, and how she helps strengthen critical infrastructure and support the communities that rely on it.

Why did you choose engineering? What do you like about it?

During high school, a math teacher encouraged me to consider a career in engineering. Later, I decided to pursue an electrical Engineering Technology Diploma. While studying, I discovered that I had a particular interest in the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) section of the curriculum. Now, as an Automation Technologist, I enjoy being a part of control system design projects of all kinds. I find my role in commissioning projects particularly satisfying.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

Because technology is always changing, the work I do is both dynamic and challenging. Additionally, the people I collaborate with in project development and Operations find my support valuable.

How do you think you make a difference in communities through your role?

I work remotely and on site, providing control system troubleshooting support to natural gas compressor stations, helping to ensure reliable supply of a vital utility to many communities.

What projects are you most proud of and why?

I am proud that I can manage both my remote support project and extended commissioning projects on site.  I remained focused on both responsibilities, helping to bring several projects and support initiatives to a successful conclusion.
