CIMA+ ANNOUNCES ITS COLLABORATION WITH KIUNA TO OFFER TWO STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS OF $1000 EACH FOR 2023–2024.

CIMA+ is proud to announce its collaboration with the Kiuna Institution for the awarding of student scholarships.

As part of the new DCS in First Nations Science offered by Kiuna College, CIMA+ wishes to invest in Indigenous students, in accordance with its Reconciliation Action Plan.

CIMA+ commits to offering a $1,000 scholarship to Kiuna College students qualifying for the DCS in First Nations Science and a $1,000 scholarship for the ACS program in accounting. These two scholarships are intended to recognize the efforts made by students who present atypical paths, difficulties and significant challenges.

These scholarships focus less on academic performance and more on sustained effort, strategies deployed, use of student services and demonstrated resilience. CIMA+ also wants to enhance the experience of the scholarship recipients and offer them a student job, internship or job shadowing opportunity, depending on their interests and background.

“At CIMA+, we recognize the history and diversity of Indigenous peoples and their contribution to the development of Canada. We are constantly learning to enhance our collaboration to be better partners with Indigenous peoples. Our participation in these scholarships is another step in the right direction for CIMA+,” said Steeve Fiset, Chief Strategy Officer at CIMA+.

Through these scholarships, CIMA+ hopes to inspire students and expose them to the career opportunities available to them by sharing the stories and experiences of our Indigenous employees.
