Laval, October 17, 2018 – CIMA+ is proud to have been recognized by Excellence Canada with a Canadian Business Excellence Award for private businesses (CBEA). The awards gala took place at the Globe & Mail Centre in Toronto, Ontario.

The CBEA recognizes businesses from all industries who have successfully used a strategic approach to improving performance and achieving goals. To evaluate business excellence, the selection committee uses three key performance indicators: 1) Client satisfaction, 2) Employee engagement and 3) Innovation.
- Client satisfaction: A 2016 survey indicates that the vast majority of respondents (94%) were mostly or very satisfied with the services provided. The elements that generate the highest levels of satisfaction relate to the quality of the people, namely: courtesy, availability, listening and understanding needs, capacity to adapt, response time, and quality of communications.
- Employee engagement: Over the last decade, CIMA+ has been a Best Employer in Canada (AON survey), and the only consulting engineering firm to be among Platinum members for the last three years. Because employees complete this survey, this ranking speaks volumes to the level of staff engagement that CIMA+ enjoys.
- Innovation: In 2016, CIMA+ looked into a comprehensive approach to innovation, and in 2017, Innovation governance emerged with a formalized process for presenting innovative ideas to management. An Innovation Committee was created in 2018 with a network of Innovation Ambassadors from all sectors of expertise and regions, and Centres of Excellence to help share innovations.

The Canadian Business Excellence Awards for Private Businesses are presented annually by Excellence Canada. The contest is open to any Canadian owned and controlled private business operating in Canada that has been in operation for at least three years and has revenues over one million dollars annually.
