Calgary and Laval, July 14, 2016 – Following the massive fire that led to the mandatory evacuation of the city’s 70,000 residents, CIMA+ is pleased to announce that its Fort McMurray office has officially reopened.
“We are very proud of the manner in which the corporate team supported us during this time of crisis, including making a $10,000 donation to the Red Cross, communicating daily with our staff to ensure their safety and well-being, and offering free space to our client’s employees at our Edmonton office,” says Gerald Desrochers, Senior Director – Western Canada, Industry.
Over the last two months, CIMA+ staff were able to work without interruption on Suncor’s major Pond 8B project thanks to employees working remotely, or from CIMA+’s other Alberta offices. Smaller projects that were put on hold can now resume with the full Fort McMurray staff returning.
“We are relieved that our employees are safe and can now return to their normal lives. Times of crisis bring out the best in people and we wish to thank our employees who took part in volunteering and fundraising activities to help the Fort McMurray community,” adds André Couturier, Vice President, Industry at CIMA+.
