Laval and Calgary, October 25, 2017 – CIMA+ is thrilled to announce that its TEMPUS online migration tool has won a Canadian Consulting Engineering Award in the Natural Resources, Mining, Industry, & Energy category. The award was presented at the 49th edition of the CCE Awards gala in Ottawa, Ontario. David Findlay, partner at CIMA+ and Instrumentation and Controls Lead – Alberta at our Calgary office, accepted the award on behalf of the firm.

TEMPUS is an online migration tool that allows for transferring control of an industrial plant from an obsolete control system to another system, while keeping the plant in operation. TEMPUS was used for a pilot project at the Suncor extraction plant in Fort McMurray, where an ODB 500 HP centrifuge was migrated, without interruption to the plant’s operations.
