David Murray becomes Chair of the ACEC – Canada Board of Directors. Tom Montgomery renews his engagement with the Board of Directors.

Montreal, October 27, 2021 – On October 26, 2021, The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Canada (ACEC-Canada) announced the appointment of David Murray P. Eng., Senior Vice President, Energy and Resources at CIMA+ as their new Chair of the ACEC Board of Directors for the 2021-2022 term.

Mr. Murray first joined the ACEC-Canada Board in 2016 and served on various committees including the Planning and Governance Committees. He was the treasurer of the association in 2020 and has been part of the Executive Committee for the past 4 years.

David Murray holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Sherbrooke. Currently, Mr. Murray’s responsibilities include overseeing the activities and expansion of the Resources sector for all of Canada, as well as managing all operations for the Energy and Resources sector comprised of more than 650 people. He is director of the Eastern township offices, which includes over 350 professionals from all sectors of activity. Committed to the promotion and advancement of the firm, Mr. Murray has been involved in various committees over the years, including the Governance and Ethics Committee whose mission is to ensure the good practice of the profession within CIMA +. Since the start of the pandemic, he has headed the committee that guides the development of internal policies and the implementation of the hybrid work environment for the firm’s employees.

He is also the ACEC-Canada delegate for the Association of Consulting Engineering Firms – Quebec (AFG).

 

Tom Montgomery renews his engagement with the ACEC Board of Directors.

For the 3rd consecutive year, Mr. Tom Montgomery, P. Eng., Regional Executive Vice-President, Ontario at CIMA+, is elected to the 2021-22 Board of Directors and will serve a second term as Vice Chair of the Executive Committee. Since the beginning of his mandate with ACEC-Canada, Mr. Montgomery has been a member of the Planning Committee and the National Infrastructure Assessment Task Group and is currently the ACEC-Canada representative on the Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC).

Tom Montgomery joined CIMA+ in 2010, as Partner and Vice President, Infrastructure for the Greater Toronto Area. He is now the Regional Executive Vice President for Ontario and responsible for operational management, strategic growth and business enhancement across the region. With over 38 years of progressive industry experience, Tom is a dedicated provider of quality and innovative consulting engineering services to a wide variety of clients.
