Laval, February 3, 2020 — François Plourde, President and CEO of CIMA+ announces the retirement of Jean-Pierre Normand, Chief Operating Officer (COO), on March 1, 2020.

As a partner and Vice President, Project Management since 2000, and as COO since 2016, Jean-Pierre Normand has amply demonstrated that he possesses strong skills in management and client relationships. He namely operationalized the firm’s strategy in all of its sectors, and efficiently managed their productivity and profitability. He initiated the development of an ERP system at CIMA+, ensured the implementation of operational procedures and risk management processes, and oversaw their application. His high level of thoroughness and in-depth knowledge of the industry allowed him to supervise the work and mentor several CIMA+ managers and employees.

Jean-Pierre Normand’s impressive background allowed him to build a strong reputation in the consulting engineering industry, allowing him to understand all the issues organizations are facing, and to tackle the multiple complex challenges generated by market globalization and changes in corporate management.
Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Jean-Pierre Normand has more than 39 years of experience in project management. During the course of his career, he participated in numerous large-scale projects: the new Réseau express métropolitain (REM), the Université de Sherbrooke campus in Longueuil, the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, the extension of Highway 30 on the South Shore of Montreal, the Sainte-Justine Mother and Child University Hospital Center (CHUSJ), and the Highway 10 public transit project, to name just a few.
