Laval, June 11, 2019 – CIMA+ is proud to announce the appointment of Réal Plourde as Chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as Josée Morin and Richard Régimbald as two new board members.
Réal Plourde has sat on CIMA+’s Board of Directors as an independent member since 2015. He was appointed Chairman of the Board on May 24, 2019, during the Annual General Meeting of partners. Réal Plourde began his career as an engineer, and in 1984 became one of the founders of Alimentation Couche-Tard, a company that expanded through a series of acquisitions, and today operates 15,000 stores in 28 countries.
François Plourde, who has been Chairman since 2014, will continue to sit on the Board of Directors, and remains the President and CEO of CIMA+. “I’m delighted that the partners at CIMA+ made the decision to divide the roles of Chairman of the Board and President and CEO of the firm, taking us one step further in adopting best practices in terms of governance. I’m also very happy to welcome two new members on our Board of Directors, whose combined experience will be critical assets in guiding us through the next few years of planned growth,” says François Plourde, President and CEO of CIMA+.
The two other newly appointed directors, Josée Morin and Richard Régimbald, both come from an engineering background and cumulate diverse expertise. After successfully starting two technology companies that were sold to US corporations, Josée Morin has proven her ability to think strategically and deliver bottom-line company growth. Mrs. Morin is a consensus builder and experienced bilingual corporate director, contributing to boards through her expertise in risk management and IT governance. Richard Régimbald cumulates 42 years of experience in structural engineering and project management and was a partner at CIMA+ for 11 years. Mr. Régimbald has a vast experience in the areas of buildings, engineering structures and management. He has numerous achievements to his credit, including the design and management of large-scale multidisciplinary projects.
