The Capital Care Norwood Centre is a 44,100 m2 new building meant to complement an existing facility located on the Glenrose Campus. It is comprised of three components:
- the Residence Tower;
- the Clinics;
- and the Angus Magugan Pavilion (AMP)
The Residence Tower is a six-storey building spanning east to west, and splitting to northwest and southwest on the western portion of the site. It contains most of the long-term care beds including those dedicated to brain injury, complex continuing care (CCC), dementia, chronic ventilation and respiratory and post acute and restorative care.
The Clinics are located in a two-level block north of the main entry and Main Street, and contains the CHOICE program, the lung health and hemodialysis programs and education and research spaces.
In collaboration with Dialog, CIMA+ was involved in the mechanical engineering design for this new construction.
