Given the rapid growth in energy requirements for its residential, commercial and industrial clients, Hydro-Sherbrooke needed to build up its transformer and distribution capacity. CIMA+ was entrusted with the engineering responsibilities and work supervision for construction of a new distribution substation supplied by a 120 kV Hydro-Québec double-circuit line, including four transformers supplying up to sixteen 25 kV distribution feeders and two banks of capacitors.
