The Borough of Rivière-des-Prairies―Pointe-aux-Trembles wanted to take prompt action on boulevard Gouin, between avenue Ozias Leduc and 87e Avenue, by executing a transitional project aimed at enhancing the safety of vulnerable users, standardizing the infrastructure assets along the corridor and reducing the speed of traffic flow. In order to have the latitude to execute this type of project and improve the active-transportation installations in the summer of 2020, the Borough was considering converting boulevard Gouin to one-way traffic between avenue Ozias Leduc and 87e Avenue. The Borough retained the services of CIMA+ with the goal of quickly carrying out an impact study related to the proposed solution.
