Microsimulation traffic analysis of Highway 138 in the Tadoussac sector

Improvement of the functionality and safety of Highway 138 for the users of the Tadoussac-Baie-Sainte-Catherine ferry.

CIMA+ conducted a traffic study on the functionality and safety of the Highway 138 redevelopment project in Tadoussac, in the context of the commissioning of two new ferries. Carried out in partnership with the Société des traversiers du Québec (STQ) and the municipality of Tadoussac, the redevelopment project aims at improving the fluidity of the boarding process onto the ferries and minimizing lineups that are frequent during summer. Using Aimsun Next software, CIMA+ analyzed numerous redevelopment scenarios and alternatives, and proposed improvements.
