Traffic impact study for the new Université de Montréal site

Flexible solutions that are adaptable to a changing reality and evolving needs.

CIMA+ carried out a traffic impact study related to the feasibility of installing the future Université de Montréal campus on the site of the former Canadian Pacific marshalling yard. Within the context of a comprehensive project involving reconstruction of a former industrial sector and densification of the built environment, this large-scale project included construction of a university campus (300,000 m2), offices (21,000 m2) and 1,300 new dwellings, along with construction of four hectares of public spaces.

The CIMA+ team proposed a number of approaches to a solution aimed at reducing the attractiveness of single-occupancy vehicles as a mode of transportation to and from the campus site.
