  • Mission

    We are currently seeking applications for an Project Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Project Accounting Manager you will primarily lead the financial review of project with project managers ensure the financial health of projects under your responsibility.

    We offer a flexible hybrid working model, allowing you to work from home and from one of our GTA offices

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Monitor and support in the overall financial health of the projects;
    • Work closely with corporate financial team (AP, AR, Taxation, etc.) to provide information and documentation required to complete their work successfully;
    • Ensure accurate financial reporting and proper project controls are in place throughout the project life cycle;
    • Closely support billing specialist in monthly billing process and  in the creation of Work Breakdown structure
    • Effectively communicate with project management staff, clients, subcontractors, and engineering team to resolve problematic issues to achieve an environment that supports a cohesive team approach;
    • Meet monthly with project managers to review financial health of projects (profitability, budget issues, incurred vs. progress, aged WIP);
    • Provide project accounting manager with timely and accurate information;
    • Maintain project information up to date (budgets, change orders, rates…);
    • Report to management major issues that can have a financial impact;
    • Understand and ensure compliance with internal controls governing CIMA+.
  • Profile
    • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position;
    • Team spirit, proactivity and self-reliance;
    • Ability to work simultaneously with several stakeholders and meet deadlines;
    • Analytical skills, thoroughness, and ability to work under pressure;
    • Experience in consulting engineering (an asset);
    • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (an asset);
    • Fluently bilingual in French and English (an asset)
