From homeowners to large factories, more and more people and industries are switching to renewable energy to reduce the dependency on fossil fuels and cut greenhouse gas emissions. This energy transition is crucial to adapt to an ever-changing climate: the future of our planet depends on it.
30+ years of experience in renewable energy
It can be difficult to decide on the best system to use for the transition to green energy. Solar panels, wind turbines and battery storage all meet specific needs based on production requirements and power demand.
Cost is also an issue: the transition to renewable energy should not come at the expense of profitability. In addition, implementing new technology must be well timed, in compliance with the power grid standards, and the local public utility power grid.
CIMA+ has specialized teams who find cost-effective solutions tailored to your needs, whether for apartment buildings, factories, or solar and wind farms. Our team has honed its ability in renewable energy by working closely with North American and international clients in the public and private sectors for over 40 years.
We provide turnkey engineering solutions, from defining what is needed, to commissioning and connection to the public utility power grid. Our extensive knowledge and experience enable us to design facilities that meet government standards and can be connected to the public utility power grid.
Our 100 specialists work together to integrate multiple renewable energy concepts to maximize performance and minimize costs.
Proven renewable energy expertise
Our teams are always on top of the latest technology and environmental advances—and are committed to integrating them into the design and implementation phases of your projects.
Our specialized services
Our diverse team of experts can meet all the needs of our clients all at once. We can move your projects forward and, at the same time, effectively tackle your specific challenges.
Since renewable energy sources emerged in Canada, CIMA+ has been providing its clients with leading-edge services related to wind energy technology and was involved in the first project in this field in Québec.
CIMA+ proposes innovative solutions adapted to the specific needs and constraints of each client backed by our solid experience in carrying out wind energy projects of various scales. The design of infrastructure assets and systems for this type of energy has evolved significantly over the years for a number of reasons, including:
- The distance between wind farms and electrical interconnection structures
- The significant increase in the power of wind turbines
- The more specific interconnection standards and criteria established by public utilities.
And this is all within a market that is more competitive than ever.
CIMA+ meets the challenges of this new reality with its high-level multidisciplinary team able to design sustainable and innovative solutions in collaboration with site developers and contractors.
CIMA+ also works closely with existing site operators to reduce the number and duration of shutdowns and improve the reliability of networks. We namely have modified wind turbines to increase their heating capacity and ensure uninterrupted service during periods of extreme cold. CIMA+ also guides clients through the NERC compliance process.
CIMA+ has experience with a wide variety of solar installations, from smaller 7.5 kW roof top projects to larger ground mount systems with a generating capacity of over 200 MW.
CIMA+’s renewable energy specialists have been involved in solar energy projects since 2007. They know standards, processes, technological developments, and design approaches. They work closely with clients during all phases of a solar project: conceptual feasibility studies, design requirements definition, detailed design, commissioning, and post construction support.
Our multidisciplinary specialists have solid experience with multiple interconnection methods and voltage levels, such as behind-the-meter, conventional connection to distribution networks and transmission lines, and off grid networks. This vast knowledge allows for reduced delays and costs, creative solutions, and a seamless integration with the existing networks.
The range of services offered throughout CIMA+’s sectors streamlines our clients’ workflow, by reducing coordination efforts with multiple stakeholders as well as simplifying project management, implementation, and completion.
CIMA+ has earned a solid reputation in the power generation industry through our unique focus on constructability, operability and maintenance.
