The Montreal Port Authority asked CIMA+ to carry out an analysis of its electrical network capacity to support the projected need increase in the next few years, and an evaluation of the existing electrical infrastructure conditions. Electrification of equipment and shore power supply will increase energy needs at the Port of Montreal.
CIMA+ conducted studies and analyses, and issued recommendations to modify the port electrical facilities in order to ensure that the network is sufficiently reliable and flexible to meet the energy demand from the Montreal Port Authority’s various clients. Furthermore, a capacity reserve is also available to meet the anticipated needs for the next 10 years.
