  • Job Description
  • Mission 

    We are looking for an electrical or civil technician to work on our electrical distribution network team in Quebec City or Lévis. The ideal candidate will have an interest in design as well as field work. Their responsibilities will include preparing drawings, carrying out design, and obtaining clients’ approval, in order to successfully deliver projects in our energy sector.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Carry out site visits to determine what work needs to be done
    • Carry out field surveys
    • Design overhead and/or underground distribution networks
    • Prepare drawings using AutoCAD software
    • Work with geographical information systems (GIS) 
    • Carry out research on property rights and prepare easement requests
    • Estimate material quantity, workforce requirements, and costs
    • Obtain permits from all involved stakeholders (municipalities, ministries, etc.) 
    • Ensure permanent or occasional on-site work supervision
    • Ensure stringent monitoring of assigned projects
    • Work closely with clients​​​​
  • Profile
    • College Diploma in civil or electrical engineering or telecommunications
    • Knowledge of geographical information systems (GIS) – an asset
    • Knowledge of public utilities’ distribution and/or telecommunication networks
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD software and Microsoft Office suite
    • Ability to work on various projects simultaneously and strong client orientation
    • Availability and willingness to travel for the purpose of carrying out field surveys
    • Fluency in oral and written French
    • Valid Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
