    Mission  

    An immediate opportunity currently exists in our new Halifax office for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong experience in Building Services.  The ideal candidate will have a demonstrate expertise in buildings decarbonation projects and strong abilities in cultivating relationships with clients.  The candidate will be driven with a desire developing innovative solutions to engineering challenges as well as accompanying the clients through the design process.

    While working from the Halifax office for much of the time, you will be able to work in a hybrid mode.

    Primary responsibilities

    • Liaise directly with clients, and maintain business relationships
    • Prepare or supervise the design of buildings including commercial, residential, and institutional projects
    • Work with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion 
    • Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program.
  • Profile
    • A recognized mechanical engineering degree and license with Engineers Nova Scotia as a P. Eng.  
    • Minimum of 10 years of directly related experience in mechanical buildings engineering.
    • Experience in commercial and Institutional HVAC, plumbing and building services.   
    • Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).  
    • Experience in the public sector an asset
    • Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards. 
    • Knowledge of building automation systems.
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit and commercial HVAC load calculation software.
