    CIMA+ is looking for an Intermediate Engineer for our Vancouver office to support our growing Infrastructure practice. The successful candidate will support the Infrastructure group on municipal projects involving water and wastewater treatment facilities, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, watermains,  drainage works, pump stations and other urban infrastructure. This is a key role within our growing practice in Western Canada with lots of opportunity to work on a wide array of projects and develop your project portfolio. Responsibilities will also include preparation of functional, preliminary and detailed design drawings, cost estimates and contract document specifications. Our team is highly collaborative and exceptionally motivated to continue to develop within this fast growing section of the organization.   

    Responsibilities 

    • Complete conceptual, preliminary and detailed design tasks for water and wastewater and/or municipal infrastructure projects   
    • Assistant project management duties   
    • Coordinate field activities such as site inspections and surveys   
    • Perform hydraulic modelling on various platforms  
    • Complete technical calculations   
    • Prepare technical specifications, reports, memoranda and approval applications  
    • Participate in periodic site inspections  
    • Perform contract administration tasks  
    • Liaise with clients, government, and regulatory authorities to address specific project needs   
  • Profile
    • 3+ years of experience working in the water and wastewater and/or municipal infrastructure fields 
    • Registered Professional Engineer with EGBC 
    • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and documents, e.g. plans and profiles, specifications, etc. 
    • Ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time in order to deliver on time and within budget 
    • Highly meticulous nature, strong attention to detail 
    • Experience working as a member of multi-disciplinary design teams is an asset 
    • MMCD Certified Contract Administrator designation is an asset 
    • Construction site experience would be considered an asset 
    • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, including teamwork and interpersonal abilities is an asset 

     

  • Additional Information
  • The expected salary for this position is from $77,840 to $107,030 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
