  • Mission

    Supporting  CIMA+'s engineering and project execution teams, the ideal candidate will be responsible for a team of approximately 60 people spread across the various CIMA+ offices in Quebec. The Senior Director will be responsible for the teams in charge of studies, engineering, and execution of work in the structural and infrastructure disciplines for our heavy industry clients within the Energy and Resources sector. With at least 15 years of experience in industry or engineering, the incumbent will be a leader in achieving business objectives. He or she will also be responsible for mobilizing teams in the execution and delivery of major multidisciplinary projects (mainly mining and metals and manufacturing, pulp and paper, and biofuels) while supporting the growth of this expertise within his or her sector. This position offers opportunities for advancement and shareholding within the organization and a high degree of autonomy in resource management.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Lead teams across Quebec in the realization of projects for multiple mandates or large-scale projects.
    • Manage, supervise, and develop a team of directors. Help build a team capable of carrying out its mandate.
    • Liaise with other internal disciplines to ensure delivery and production within established deadlines and priorities.
    • Implement management and communication practices that promote change management, skills development, commitment, talent retention, and diversity.
    • Manage project productivity and profitability. Coordinate the follow-up and progress of all projects and take charge of certain strategic projects.
    • Responsible for properly delegating responsibilities, and assigning control systems to guarantee efficiency and meet budgets and deadlines while respecting quality standards.
    • Monitor compliance with health and safety standards among employees working on customer sites.
    • Encourages accountability. Mobilizes teams to achieve objectives.
    • Analyzes and defines current and future needs related to the production of deliverables in line with growth objectives, deadlines, and costs: hiring, training, equipment, etc.
  • Profile
    • Bachelor's degree in civil and/or structural engineering, or related discipline
    • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec
    • Minimum 15 years' relevant experience
    • Experience in a heavy industrial environment
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Fluency in both French and English is vital in this role for seamless interactions with our diverse stakeholder base, ensuring clear communication and to complete our various projects nationwide
