  • Mission
    Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Finance, you will join a fast-growing organisation and play a key strategic role.  You will contribute to the development and implementation of the procurement strategy. This opportunity will allow you to collaborate with the various stakeholders in our business sectors and you will also be responsible for managing CIMA+'s corporate portfolio of procurement of services and goods across Canada by responding to business needs. 
    This position offers interesting opportunities to get involved in important aspects of the company's activities. Finally, you will have the choice of working at the CIMA+ office closest to your place of residence, teleworking or a combination of both.

    Primary Responsibilities 

    • To define the strategic direction of procurement in order to organise, direct, measure and analyse the purchase of goods and services
    • Create and develop synergies with the various business sectors in order to support them in the development, implementation and coordination of supplier-related processes, service level agreement performance and service quality measurements
    • Define, guide and support cost reduction strategies while respecting deadlines and quality standards
    • Manage and develop the group of professionals under his/her supervision 
    • Create, develop and manage procurement policies, procedures and programmes, focusing on their ability to improve the value and efficiency of the organisation
    • Conduct competitive intelligence on key markets, trends, suppliers and solutions
    • Keep abreast of sources of supply and market trends in procurement, including responsible and sustainable procurement
    • Guide, support and, where necessary, lead the supplier selection process, and negotiate agreements with suppliers and collaborative partners
    • Use an approach based on risk analysis associated with supply categories, contracts and third-party suppliers, while ensuring compliance with business requirements 
    • Contribute to the configuration of the new ERP system for purchasing and supply

  •  

    • Bachelor's degree in administration, specializing in supply chain management (operations, logistics) or another discipline deemed relevant
    • More than ten (10) years' experience in purchasing and procurement processes, including responsible sourcing, contract negotiation and contract management, including 5 years as a manager in a similar sector of activity
    • Proven strategic skills: Problem-solving, project management and negotiation orientation with a strong interest in continuous improvement and optimization
    • Ability to build trust and sustainable partnerships with diverse stakeholders, strong negotiation skills
    • Project management skills. Ability to plan and manage milestones, priorities, risks and stakeholders for all activities within a purchasing project. 
    • Strong leadership skills to communicate effectively and influence positively
    • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (ideally dynamics 365) and Microsoft 365
    • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written; Bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position in order to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including our customers, partners and cross-sector teams nationwide.
