Separation and replacement of a sewer system using the microtunneling method

In the framework of its efforts to clean up the La Brasserie stream and protect public health, the City of Gatineau entrusted CIMA+ with the preparation of drawings, specifications and tender documents for the separation and replacement of a neighbouring sewer system.

To complete the work while minimizing the impacts on traffic and the environment, our team chose the trenchless microtunneling method.

View the video (French only) below to discover when we selected this method rather than another one, and how we supported the City of Gatineau for this project.

Our team is at the forefront of trenchless solutions that are still little known in Quebec. To learn more about this technology and its advantages, or to discuss your projects, contact us!
