Guylaine Belley had a successful career in engineering consulting services.
A born entrepreneur
She is a seasoned entrepreneur with more than ten years of experience as a director for private, public, investment and non-profit organizations. With a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Polytechnique, in 1997 she cofounded Createch, one of the largest industrial engineering consulting firms in eastern Quebec, specializing in LEAN management and ERP systems. Mrs. Belley also developed the “value-added production” model, a precursor to the LEAN model inspired by the work carried out by Toyota in its Japanese manufacturing plants.
Her expertise at CIMA+’s service
Henceforth, Mrs. Belley brings her expertise to several boards of directors. Her strengths mainly focus on the adequate use of information technologies and AGILE principles, in order to optimize the organization and support its growth. She specializes in the management of business risks, namely those associated with information technologies, corporate transformation, and growth strategy. In the course of her career, she implemented Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft solutions. She mainly worked in the food manufacturing, consumer goods and technology industries. She also sat on the board of directors of Plastique Micron, Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, Amisco, CIF Metal, Fonds FTQ, and the Fondation du Musée des Beaux-Arts du Québec.
