Laval and Edmonton, February 20, 2019 – CIMA+ is pleased to announce that Art Washuta, Vice-President of Business Development, is the recipient of the 2019 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Distinguished Achievement. The award was recently granted by the Consulting Engineers of Alberta, during the CEA’s 23rd Annual Showcase Awards Gala in Calgary, Alta.
Known for having a keen interest in people and for always striving to make every project or solution better, Mr. Washuta has contributed his technical expertise, mentorship and leadership to teams on several large-scale projects in Alberta, Ontario, the Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut. As an Alberta native, he has worked diligently on the original 1978 Edmonton LRT, the procurement of the ongoing Valley Line Southeast LRT, and the structural design on the Goldbar Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Oldman River Dam spillway.

Mr. Washuta was elected to the CEA Board of Directors in 2007 and was president of the organization from 2009-2010.
