CIMA+ participates in the development of the AFG’s BIM standards

Laval, January 16, 2018 – Thanks to its expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM), CIMA+ is proud to have been chosen by the Quebec Association of Engineering Consulting Firms (AFG) to participate in the development of BIM standards.

The AFG has created a committee responsible for defining ways of standardizing BIM practices within engineering firms. CIMA+ is well represented by Geneviève Crête, BIM Project Manager, elected chair of this committee. Julien Jean-Charland, Eng., BIM Manager and Associate Partner at CIMA+, will participate in a subcommittee dedicated to the technical aspects of modelling and related technologies.

The committee was created following the works of the multi-sectoral round table for the adoption of BIM and integrated practices created by the Quebec government through the École de Technologie Supérieure (ETS), and of the CanBIM round table on the implementation of BIM in Quebec’s consulting-engineering industry.
