Basement Flooding Protection Program in Toronto – Phase 4, Assignments 13-01 and 13-02

The Basement Flooding Protection Program was developed as a response to chronic flooding in Toronto.

CIMA+ operated as a Detailed Design and Contract Administration Consultant on Phase 4 of the City of Toronto’s Basement Flooding Protection Program (BFPP). The Program’s criteria are to provide protection to the equivalent of a storm event with a return frequency of between one in 25 to one in 50 years for the sanitary sewer design, and the 100-year storm event for the storm drainage system where a proper major (overland flow) drainage system does not exist.

Key members of our Linear Infrastructure Group have worked on this program for several years and understand the complexities of delivering these projects given the constraints of the urban environment.
