The project was brought to CIMA+’s project team in 2010 by Baysprings Development Corp, who had recently purchased 8.1 ha (20 ac) of land on the west side of Airdrie. With the purchase of additional land, the project grew to encompass a 60-acre community, and consisted of developing a planning concept for the area, including an area structure plan, neighborhood structure plan and outline plan, and land use re-designation. The resulting subdivision contains single family homes of various sizes, semi-detached dwellings, two low-density townhouse developments and a 150+ unit medium density multi-family complex as well as four parks, two of which contain undisturbed natural areas.
