The new section consists of two 735-315kV 1,650 MVA power transformers with two 735 kV line entrances and one 315 kV component with two new underground cable exits. In order to incorporate this new section into the substation, modifications were also made to the existing 315 kV and 120 kV sections, namely burying of the 120 kV lines and construction of 120 kV and 315 kV overhead-underground substations. The expansion of the substation also required construction of five new buildings: control, auxiliary services, power generators, maintenance and 315 kV secondary.
