CIMA+ developed a comprehensive GHG inventory in accordance with the Global Protocol for Community-Scale GHG Emission Inventories (GPC) to better understand the emissions contributions of different activities within the community. CIMA+ created a custom tool for the Municipality to pursue with the GHG inventories on an annual basis.
CIMA+ conducted a training session to the Township’s staff on the use of this custom tool, in addition to a variety of Focus Groups with community members and stakeholders to discuss action planning and carbon reduction measures. Upon completion, CIMA+ provided the Township with a final GHG inventory report, including recommendations for GHG reduction strategies to be implemented by the community and to be aligned with the federal goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
