CIMA+’s Landscape Architecture group was selected to provide services for the construction of Sunnyridge and Greenwood parks, respectively designed to include connecting trails, a fitness trail, a junior soccer pitch, arboretum-style planting, community garden plots and adjacent orchard; and a playground, splash pad, shade structure, pathways, a multipurpose court and community garden plots. An irrigation system with a holding tank was also designed to reuse water from the splash pad to irrigate all park turf areas and fill tanks on town trucks for the watering of flower baskets and municipal gardens. Special attention was given to the placement and design of park elements so that none would interfere with other surrounding developments and residential properties.
