This new hydropower facility is built in partnership with the Inuit-owned Pituvik Landholding Corporation who chose Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. to deliver the project. Once completed, this innovative project will provide clients of Inukjuak’s off-grid system with clean and renewable energy, replacing diesel for their basic electricity and heating needs.
CIMA+’s scope of work includes geotechnical investigations, excavation and rock consolidation, as well as civil, electrical and mechanical detailed design of the rockfill dam, concrete spillway, diversion structure, powerhouse and of the 11 km long transmission line.
The Innavik project is under construction since 2020 and is expected to be completed in 2023.
