Implementation of a bus rapid transit on Côte-Vertu boulevard

A bus rapid transit aimed at ensuring and enhancing mobility in public transit while minimizing impact on the public

Within the context of its mission to ensure and enhance the mobility of individuals within its territory via various modes of public transit, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) decided to implement a bus rapid transit (BRT) on the Sauvé/Côte-Vertu artery. The CIMA+ team was entrusted with the task of preparing the final design for implementing the BRT, including validating the proposed concepts, optimizing the geometry and assessing the impact and benefits of the project. Certain Ville de Montréal projects and a cost-sharing arrangement were also incorporated into the project, which required close cooperation with the various municipal authorities.
