As a result of urban growth, new projects emerge every year in the Borough of Saint-Laurent. This situation places a heavy load on the Borough’s arterial and collector road network, and causes overflow problems for the local road network.
In addition, Orange Line Metro stations and the Côte-Vertu bus terminal handle thousands of passengers per day, while the Deux-Montagnes rail line is operating at full capacity. Within this context, the Borough faces the challenge of meeting the travel-related needs within its territory as effectively as possible, while promoting the use of public and active transportation, which is the primary objective of a Local Mobility Plan (LMP) developed by CIMA+.
