This project consisted of rebuilding the distribution system in an industrial subdivision in North York. CIMA+ completed a visual survey of the existing pad-mounted transformers, transformer vaults, and overhead pole line to determine the amount of work required to bring the installations up to current standards. Existing duct structures were re-utilized wherever possible to minimize the amount of civil work required on private properties. Where new civil works on these properties were required, the owners were consulted early in the design process to avoid conflicts during construction. The main challenge of this project was to carry out upgrades while minimizing impacts on clients and residents.
