The Region of Peel operates several reservoirs and chambers to distribute treated water to numerous pressure zones. The reservoir distribution chamber at the Hanlan site is a cast-in-place chamber that houses two critical large diameter feedermains (1200 mm and 1800 mm) and a total of five control valves. CIMA+ completed the evaluation of upgrade options and led the detailed design for structural, electrical, I&C and HVAC upgrades to refurbish critical valve chambers at the Hanlan reservoir and East Brampton pumping station sites. Overflow capacity upgrades were also completed in each of the Hanlan reservoirs. CIMA+’s 3D CAD process enabled both the maintenance staff and the design team to work together to develop best fit practical solutions that reduce maintenance costs and promote site safety.
