Located in the Meadowvale GO Transit station site, the North Streetsville elevated tank was repurposed into a communications tower with several cell phone transmitters. The Region of Peel retained CIMA+ to complete the design and contract documents for the improvement of this facility which is visited by thousands of commuters daily. The new access tube, access platform and communication support structure were fabricated off site, delivered to the site in two pieces, lifted by crane into position and welded in place. All appurtenances, including the antennae and other communication equipment, were installed in situ with minimal disruption to the existing facility and GO Transit commuters.
