Within the context of the Special Urban Planning Program (SUPP) for the Plateau district of Sainte-Foy, CIMA+ assisted Ville de Québec in reviewing the configuration and functionality of boulevard Hochelaga. Using the Aimsun Next software, CIMA+ carried out a variety of traffic analyses to help develop an effective design. The configuration design prepared by CIMA+ incorporated bus priority measures and fulfilled a number of objectives, including ensuring fluid traffic flow, facilitating safe cohabitation of the various road network users, optimizing the service offer to an intermodal hub and improving access to Université Laval via the Robert-Bourassa Autoroute.
