Storm water drainage and management in Redwater – Pembina terminal complex expansion project

This project to design storm water drainage and management structures was carried out in fast-track mode.

The project was valued at approximately $250 M, was of significant technical complexity, and was carried out within a very tight schedule. CIMA+ prepared a master plan identifying optimal storm water management practices to be implemented in order to meet the applicable environmental criteria. We also designed a network consisting of more than 7 km of storm water pipe, a high capacity energy dissipation structure. The design of the network also involved numerous large-diameter pipes, some of which were put into place by means of horizontal directional drilling, and 3 retention structures with a total capacity in excess of 48,000 m³.
