Storm water management, Decarie North interchange complex

This storm water management projects was part of the larger Decarie North interchange redevelopment project.

This $70 M project, with more than $10 M allocated to rainwater management, involved partial reconstruction of the drainage network, rainwater management and relocation of the main pipes. The objective of the final design was to determine the necessity of relocating the existing networks, estimate runoff volumes, determine the size of the stormwater management structures required and identify the applicable technical and environmental criteria arising from the requirements set out by the MTQ, the MELCC and municipal authorities. CIMA+ then prepared drawings and specifications for construction of the drainage network, the retention ponds and the oil and sediment retention structures, and for the relocation of the piping, with the main pipes ranging in diameter from 300 to 900 mm.
