The people behind CIMA+: Marjolaine De Andrade

Why did you choose the mobility sector?

The need to travel for work or leisure is a real and ever-present consideration, and given that traffic is among the major concerns that people face on a daily basis, I am particularly interested in continuously improving the modes of transportation used by various communities. In adapting to reality, solutions must sometimes change as a function of specific environments.

Since when are you part of CIMA+’s great family?

I began my career at CIMA+ in July 2020, as part of the Monitoring – Bridges and Transportation Structures team. I joined the Mobility Engineering team in September 2021.

Why did you decide to join the CIMA+ Mobility Team?

After earning my Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Transportation, I wanted to take full advantage of the knowledge and competencies I had acquired in this field.

What do you like most in your work?

The most motivating factors for me are the autonomy we have and the responsibilities we are given. The areas of expertise among the Mobility Engineering team allow anyone who wishes to join to work on a wide range of projects, and to accelerate their growth.

Which project are you most proud of and why?

Among the projects that I have been involved in, I found the airport projects to be the most demanding, and therefore, the ones I am most proud of. They pulled me way out of my comfort zone and forced me to expand my limitations. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of results we were able to produce by working as a team.

How do you define CIMA+’s Mobility Team?

The Mobility Engineering team is a collection of passionate individuals who work together to understand and improve the state of mobility.
