Laval, September 21, 2018 – CIMA+ successfully delivered its first two major marine and port engineering projects for its client Ciment McInnis in the United States, specifically in New York (Bronx) and Rhode Island (Providence). A third project was carried out in the Great Lakes area (Oshawa, Ontario).
CIMA+ has been involved in marine and port engineering along the Saint Lawrence River and in Quebec’s Far North for over 40 years. “Entering a dynamic American market meant significant investments for CIMA+. Our firm intends to build on this success and continue delivering major projects in this promising niche business,” says François Plourde, President and CEO of CIMA+.
In 2014-2015 CIMA+ had carried out the design for other port facilities on behalf of Ciment McInnis, in Port Daniel-Gascons, Quebec. The success of this project allowed CIMA+ to obtain the project for the development of Ciment McInnis’s maritime reception and cement distribution terminals in the states of New York and Rhode Island, as well as in Ontario.
“We are very pleased with the solid partnership we have established with CIMA+, which is based on trust and mutual respect,” says Jean Moreau, President and CEO of Ciment McInnis.
