Bus priority measures (BPM) within the avenue des Bois corridor

Measures to mitigate the impact on commuter train users during construction work on the Réseau express métropolitain (REM).

In order to provide an efficient alternative solution for users of the Deux-Montagnes suburban train line during construction work on the Réseau express métropolitain (REM), CIMA+ designed bus priority measures (BPM) for the segment between the Sainte-Dorothée station and the Lachapelle Bridge. These measures included widening of the roadway to add a reserved lane and allow buses to travel on the shoulder, along with traffic signal pre-emption measures on avenue des Bois and boulevard Chomedey. The project was completed in record time, before discontinuation of the suburban train service.
